So much to be thankful for...

Let's see...Brent had to different job interviews in Springfield and got offers from both firms. After several days of thinking and praying, he decided to take the first job at a firm in downtown Springfield called McGladrey and Pullen. So we're officially moving to Springfield in August =)
We also looked at apartments in when we were in town this weekend. We saw some GREAT new places in Chatham and I'm trying to push for a nice, new two bedroom apartment...we'll see if Brent will go for it =)
Thanksgiving was great...we spent Thursday with Brent's family and Friday with my whole family. It was great to see family and catch up. We spent the rest of the weekend with my parents and played lots of Cranium! Here are a couple pictures from our break.
Also...only 2.5 weeks left before Christmas break!! Praise Jesus =)

50 years and job offers!!

Let's see where should I start...
Friday Brent had his first interview in Springfield. He called me after and said he thought it went pretty well...he liked the firm and the people were really nice. They told him he would hear either way sometime this week. When we met up at his dad's house he told me that they had called him after the interview before he even got out of Springfield to say they wanted to offer him a job there!! They are going to e-mail him the contract, etc and he's got TWO WEEKS to let them know...ahhh! So he told them he's got this other interview Friday with another firm and they said if they make him an offer as well, and it's more money, they'll match that offer.
We were both VERY encouraged by this news. You can imagine my excitement.
SO, we have lots of praying to do in the next two weeks, and if you think about us, send God a little shout out for us :)
I'll keep you all posted on what happens in the next couple weeks.
Saturday night was Brent's grandma and grandpa Woodrum's 50th Anniversary party. We had a lot of fun decorating the place that day and then hanging out with them and their friends that night. We decided to drive back to Charleston after the party so we could go to Campus House this morning.
In other news...we have 48 days until the cruise and I am SERIOUSLY going to start a hard-core diet/get in shape session tomorrow. Strict diet, tough work outs...it's the only way I'm going to even consider putting a swimming suit on in 48 days. Please encourage me...working out and eating healthy does NOT come naturally for me...I'm lazy by nature and love sweets/salty things...and carbs...and all things bad for you.
Enough typing...enjoy some pics :)

not the best picture...but us before the party

Long time no blog...

Wow, sorry for the lack of blogging lately! Our weekends have been pretty packed full of traveling and fun stuff for awhile.
-Brent's birthday was October 29th, so the weekend before I threw him a surprise party with some friends...he was very surprised :)
-The weekend after his birthday we went to his family's for the weekend. We were supposed to go to the Third Day concert on Frirday but it got cancelled and rescheduled for a Thursday in March so we can't go now :(
-This past weekend we volunteered to represent the Campus House at ICTC (Illinois Christian Teen Convention) in Springfield. We set up a booth and hung out there Friday night and Saturday most of the day. After the conference was over I got to hang out with my mom and so some shopping :)
-Today, Brent had a phone interview with an accounting firm in Springfield. I guess it went pretty well as they called back an hour later to set up an in-office interview for the 21st!
-This coming Friday he also has an interview in Springfield at a different firm. I don't want to get my hopes up, but I'm REALLY excited about these two leads :) Hopefully one of them turns into an offer!
-After his interview on Friday we're heading to Danville for his grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary party! So our weekends continue to be busy and I have a feeling they will stay this way until after the holidays! (Which could not come fast enough!)
