Impatient

That's my middle name. And today I am being VERRY impatient. I ordered a pair of shoes from target.com for weddings this summer and because they're way cute. I was hoping they would get here today, since I've been tracking them all week and yesterday it said they arrived in springfield, I assumed that meant they would get out here sometime today but as I'm looking at the time (3:41 p.m.) I'm thinking it's not looking good. We leave for a wedding tomorrow sometime around noon so UPS has another chance to get me my shoes tomorrow before my impatience turns into anger (just kidding...but seriously...)
And for your viewing pleasure, here are the hot shoes and the dress I'll be wearing with them, assuming they arrive SOON!! Unfortunately, the dress isn't online anymore so let me explain: it's a little black one-shoulder number and it's CUTE. I'll post pictures after the wedding this weekend!

Camping Adventure

This weekend Brent and I finally got to try out our tent! We went camping in Clinton with my parents and Brent's dad. It was a nice way to spend our long weekend (minus a couple rainy days). We got to play lots of bags, eat s'mores, and learn how to put up and take down a tent :) We're very much looking forward to our next camping trip!
This weekend starts the wedding season. We're going up to Chicago for Bridget and Ben's wedding on Saturday, but before that, we're going to a Cardinal's game Thursday with my folks! And next week is my last week of class, so that's exciting!
On the job front: my on-campus job is still going well. I also might be babysitting a baby three days a week starting in July so that'll be nice!
That's about all there is to update you all on. Everything else is going great! Here are some pictures from our camping extraveganza

We always have a good time!

Ask and you shall receive :)

It's true...we prayed and prayed and PRAYED for me to get a job and FINALLY something came along! After many applications and several interviews that were dead ends, I got an e-mail today from a lady I had given my resume to about a month ago asking if I was still looking for a job and she needed someone about 2 hours a day. So I emailed her back and said OKAY!! I went and filled out papers and I start tomorrow! It's an on-campus job in the Accounting office, and just down the hall from where Brent works! This is just a huge blessing, it's not a lot of hours but it will definitely help us out. And on top of that, I'm going to start babysitting on Saturdays for a little boy. God never ceases to amaze me by providing for us just when we need it. HE IS GOOD!!
Thanks to everyone for your prayers and encouragements during this rough time...I'm finally employed again and it's NOT at Wal-Mart and it feels oh-so-good :)
In other news--this weekend Britany graduated from LCC and we got to go see her walk! Congrats Brit!! Then we spent some time with Brent's dad Saturday night. For Mother's Day we went to Britany's church because she was preaching (and did GREAT!) then went to Monical's with Brent's mom and grandparents. It was a fun, family-filled weekend!
MORE good news--our wedding book is completed and at our photographer's studio! My mom is going to pick it up this week. I can't wait to see it!!
Things are going great right now, Sam is swimming more than ever and loves his bowl :)

Vacation!

So we finished finals last week and Brent and I decided we needed to get out of Charleston for a few days so we went to St. Louis Monday through Wednesday. We were originally going to stay for only one night in a hotel, but we were blessed to get the hook up and stay in a LOFT a couple blocks away from union station! It was awesome. While we were there we:
-went to the city museum (first time for both of us)
-walked aroung union station
-shopped at the galleria and ate at the cheesecake factory
-went to grant's farm
-did the anheuser-busch brewery tour
-ate at schlafly's (another brewery in st. louis)
-got to see eric and the kids!
We had a blast and it was great to get away! Now we're back to reality and I have an interview tomorrow afternoon (pray hard!!) This weekend Brent's sister Britany is graduating from Lincoln Christian College so we're heading over there for that. Here are some pictures from our fun getaway!
