To take pictures of your babe, you and your precious little fam, your giant preggo belly, your stylish senior pic?
I've always had dreams of being a really awesome photog. I even took a class my freshie year of college, but it was back in the day of REAL film and I had to develop it all, etc. Well then I got real and decided I needed a grown up job (no I'm not knocking being a professional photographer, I'm just jealous) and became a teacher. We all know I'm no longer teaching but rather raising an HMN and since we're down to 1 income I've been brainstorming things I could do to bring in a little extra and photography keeps nagging at me. Particularly around 3:00 a.m. when I'm waiting for a screaming child to fall back asleep. So I present you with these two questions:
1. Do I have any volunteer models; preferably preggo women, new babes or any age babes, cute couples (or not cute couples, whatev) that would let me practice taking pics of them for free?
2. In a couple months when I become like a freakin' photog all star, would you pay me to take your picture? Don't worry, I have a way of getting my hands on a sweet cam (and it's legal) so the pics would look hot.
Tell the truth. Because I always tell you all the truth. Also tell me what things would make you want to hire me (like would you prefer me if I had long hair? Cause I'd get extensions it if you'd give me money...)
Don't hold back....give it to me straight. Or if you don't want to go through the whole picture song and dance, you can just mail me money. Whichever works best for you, I'm flexible.

Sounds like a great idea, Amy! There is an FCS teacher in my Facebook friends who does photography on the side. She is not located around where you live so she might be willing to give you some pointers. Look for Leah Guthrie Wilke and shoot her a message. I am sure she will be helpful!

Here's a good resource for learning the post production: www.lynda.com. I subscribe to it; it has constantly reliable tutorials and has a lot of photog "assignments" also...honest to goodness this is $25 a month and more valuable to me than my college education (and I was a graphic design major).
